Jamie Livingston's Photo of The Day

Between March, '79 and October, '97, photographer, film-maker and circus performer Jamie Livingston shot a Polaroid each day of his life. Altogether there are 6,697 photos - some have been lost or misplaced through the years. The collection does the web rounds every six months or so (take a look at Chris Higgins' post on Mental Floss as a cross-reference), for reasons obvious. At the end of his life Livingston tangled with cancer, documented in detail - while a life cut short is a terrible thing, Livingston seems to have (inadvertently?) finagled his way into a new life e-ternal, celebrated by total strangers sharing his life with more people than I'm sure he could have imagined would ever see his photos.
